Rooms Sizes
All rooms have 2 X single beds in them unless large family rooms. We have 11 rooms in Ember Lodge. 2 of which are large family rooms for 6 guests. 8 of 11 rooms have ensuite bathrooms. We fill the ensuite rooms first. Shared bathrooms are newly renovated. A maximum of 27 guests can stay at Ember Lodge comfortably.
Location
Ember Lodge is located conveniently 100 meters from the family friendly Goryu ski slopes. The top of Goryu is connected to Hakuba 47 which hosts more advanced terrain.

Booking Policies
- Partial Payment: Secure your stay with a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is due 90 days before your arrival. Please note that the full booking fee becomes non-refundable within 90 days of your stay.
- Full Payment: Pay the entire booking fee upfront and take advantage of the current weak yen rates. This option also includes a non-refundable policy if canceled within 90 days of your arrival.
Location
Guest Resources
The easiest way to get to Ember Lodge is to either take the train / bullet train to Nagano Station and then catch Nagano Snow Shuttle bus service. This goes to Escal Plaza bus turnaround at Goryu, a short 100m walk away. If you select their drop off service, they will drop you off directly at Ember Lodge. Recommended for large groups or people with a lot of luggage! Nagano Snow Shuttle can accommodate large groups as well as single travelers. Click here for the link for Nagano Snow Shuttle.
You can also come by train to Kamishiro Station and we will pick you up at the station. It is 2 stops past Hakuba by local train.
We have free parking for guests that come by car. We strongly recommend 4WD vehicles with snow tires in the winter.
We use Central Snow Sports for rental gear. They will do a one-time pickup and drop off one time for fitting. We recommend having them do the fitting the day before you are set to go skiing or snowboarding so that you can make the most of your trip. They can pick you up from Hakuba station, then drop you off at Ember Lodge with your gear. Central Snow Sports will collect rental gear from Ember Lodge after you are done. Be sure to specify that you are staying at Ember Lodge when reserving your gear so that your gear will be picked up properly. View their hompage here.
We work regularly with Hakuba Snow Sports for lessons. They professionally run their lessons out of Iimori (the adjoining field to Goryu) which can be accessed by skiing to the lesson meeting area. You can also take a 2 minute shuttle there from Escal Plaza as well. If you wish to book lessons, please let us know and we will do it for you.
